Alice Skramstad Dela Cruz

December 8, 1936 - April 15, 2022

Alice Skramstad Dela Cruz, 85 years old, died at the grace of our Lord on April 15, 2022. She was born in the Philippines on December 8, 1936, to parents Lucila and Irvin Skramstad. For 30 years, she worked with high functioning, mentally challenged adults. She enjoyed training and preparing them for independent living. Mom, Grandma or Lola, as she was fondly called, was a very loving and dedicated wife and mother and a wonderful doting grandmother. She was the most generous Aunt and Ate Alice to family, nieces and nephews. She had a passion for gardening and her green thumb could grow anything. She loved her roses and grew them in a variety of vibrant colors. She loved to shop, dance, sew, and travel. She also loved to cook for her children and always made sure there was food in the house when they came home from school. Even after her children moved out as adults, she always made sure that there was food in the house in case someone visited. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her husband Bayani Dela Cruz, her 6 children – Caroline, Demetrius, Edgar, Fred, Marie, and Hector, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Our family, along with friends, have lost a wonderful human being. She will always be in our hearts, gone but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
