Chak Kong Lui

August 20, 1930 - February 27, 2022

Chak Kong Lui, age 91 of Carlsbad CA, passed away on Feb 27, 2022 in Oceanside CA. after losing the Battle to Alzheimer's Disease. Chak was born in Guangdong province China on Aug. 20, 1930. He is survived by his wife Ping, son Steve, and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his two siblings and numerous nieces & nephews. Chak spent his early childhood in Guangdong until 1934 when he & family was relocated to Saigon Vietnam. After his high school graduation, he returns to China to pursuit a BA degree. In 1956 he married Ping in Guangdong China, following that year he was working at GuangXi China until he was immigrated to the United States in 1978. He settled down as a cook in Central Washington until his retirement in 1996. He spent his free time cooking and gardening, on Sundays he gathers with old friends for brunch after church service. In the summer of 2019 he decided to be closer to his grandchildren and relocate to Carlsbad CA., it was the best decision because this allow his grandchildren to get to know their grandfather before his passing. Service will be held on Monday afternoon on April 4th 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego CA. Due to covid restrictions, both service and burial will be held privately to family members only.
