December 23, 1950 - March 16, 2022
Daniel was born in Santiago, Chile, on December 23, 1950. He migrated to the United States in 1972. He met his wife Nettie LaJaunie in Louisiana where they had one son, Daniel Paul Silva. In January 1985 they left Louisiana and moved to Bonita, an unincorporated area of San Diego County, California. In 1987 Daniel started a cabinet shop business in San Diego, which he ran until his death. He was an active member of the Lamborghini Club of America. He loved his cars and sharing them with other car enthusiasts. On many Saturday mornings you could find him in Rancho Santa Fe at Cars & Coffee. In 2008 Daniel was diagnosed with PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) which required a Liver Transplant, which he received on October 19, 2009. Unfortunately, the PSC returned in his new liver. The family wishes to thank the family that donated their loved one's liver so that Daniel was able to have those added 12 years. Daniel was treated at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla for his PSC and his transplant. The family wishes to thank everyone at Scripps Green for the wonderful care he received. Special thanks to Dr’s. Fisher, Frenette, & Au. Please be an organ donor so others may live.
