Tanisha Thompson
June 13, 1972 - February 20, 2022
Tanisha Renee Thompson was born to Denise (Deni) Marie Neely and Dennis James Thompson on June 13, 1972. The only child born to Deni she was the apple of her mother’s eye. Tanisha received her formal education at Fred Baker Elementary and Samuel Gompers Secondary School. After graduating from Gompers in 1990, Tanisha pursued several career opportunities. Her disdain for the mistreatment of the elderly led her to her career as a caregiver. Tanisha was employed as a Caregiver for many years and she was loved by all of her patients and their families. With her caring nature and dedication to each charge, she became a part of their families as well. They treated her as a trusted member of their families and respected her opinions regarding the care of their loved ones. Tanisha was passionate about her work and gave her all to each of those entrusted into her care. Blessed with a giving spirit, Tanisha was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She often opened her home when someone needed a place to stay and also fed the homeless living in the canyon. Tanisha was an active member of the Divinity Social Club for seven years. She held the positions of Sergeant at Arms and President, recently retiring in January 2022 to devote more time to her children and her granddaughter. God called Tanisha “Bunz” home on February 20, 2022.
