Adeline N. Pegg's Obituary
Born on May 14, 1919 as Nannie Adeline Wood, she later went by the name Adeline N. Wood. Her parents were Charles and Katherine Wood of Virginia. They had 25 children — Adeline was number 22, but she outlived them all. She has lived in Clarksville, VA; Baltimore, MD; Los Angeles, CA; and San Diego, CA. She first came to La Jolla in 1936 — left in 1938 after high school, and later returned again.She was a solid beliver in the second coming of Jesus Christ and spent many days at 31st Street Seventh Day Adventist Church, and at Bethel Baptist Church. Besides going to church, she loved her son and his family, crocheting, and knitting.She will be missed by all who loved her.Her services were on July 16, 2015 at the Seventh Day Adentist Church on 31st Street in San Diego, CA. The family had a Viewing the night before.
