Adib Melham Hajj's Obituary
Adib M. Hajj, 88, of San Diego, CA, passed away on April 1, 2016. Born in Aley, Lebanon to Melham and Martha Hajj he was the youngest of six children. At the age of 19, Adib left Lebanon living in Venezuela for six years. He then immigrated to the U.S. where he promptly married Frieda M Hajj on June 6, 1956. Adib was an entrepreneur. Starting from scratch, he built several successful businesses including a men’s clothing store in Encinitas, CA and retiring as a real estate developer. Adib retired early so that he could care for his wife, Frieda M Hajj who preceded him in death. He spent much of his later years enjoying nature; hunting, fishing and camping, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also became a wonderful cook of Lebanese cuisine. Adib had the gift of hospitality making certain each person knew that they were special. The Padres and San Diego Chargers were always on the Television. He never missed a game. Adib is survived by his children Bill (Laura), Edward (Donna), Helen (Bob), and grandchildren Brian, Evan, Maria, Daniel, Emily and Sarah.
