Alaisea Pauu's Obituary
On September 14th 2023, Alaisea Epati Pau’u passed away peacefully with her three children by her side in San Diego, California. Alaisea Epati Pau’u was born to Fa’atamalii Tuiasosopo a social worker and Letasi Tuitele Epati a US Navy Serviceman on March 20th, 1948 in Fagatogo, American Samoa. Her father received orders in 1950 and the family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where she spent her early years. Alaisea would attend Halawa Elementary and Radford High School. The family once again received orders by the Navy and were moved to San Diego, California where Alaisea would plant her roots. Alaisea joined the First Samoan Congregational Christian Church of San Diego and found her love for Jesus Christ along with her family as founding members. Alaisea was the eldest of her thirteen siblings. Alaisea was the most at peace and very proud of her large family. Alaisea would work in several industries over the years, most notably made an impact on many lives at UPAC (Union of Pan Asian Communities) as a social worker. Alaisea would later find her most rewarding career in law enforcement, where she served 16 years as a Deputy Sheriff for the San Diego Sheriff Department. Alaisea was survived by her three children - Lance, Dawn and Rowdy. Alaisea had six grand children and seven great grandchildren. Alaisea was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile and energy would light up a room. Alaisea cared deeply for her family and close friends she called her mermaids. She was kind, passionate and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
