Albert Keith Price's Obituary
Albert Keith Price passed away peacefully March 8th with his family at his side. Keith was born May 6th, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the LDS hospital. He was raised in San Francisco in the Marina District near the Palace of Fine Arts with his parents, Albert H. Price and Margaret Owen Price, his older sister Patria Jeanne, and his older brother Kendall Owen. He attended Marina Jr. High and George Washington High School. He excelled in sports, playing basketball, baseball, and softball, while also playing the trumpet as a member of the band. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1951. After graduation he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as locomotive fireman on freight trains, where he gained his lifelong love of trains. He attended Brigham Young University in 1951 to 1953. In 1954 he served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the territory of Hawaii from Jan 1954 until Feb 1956. After his service he returned and graduated from BYU in 1958 where he majored in Business Management. He was an avid and accomplished athlete who passed that love to his children. He is survived by his wife Fifita Ofa, sons Dale, Terry, and Lee, and daughters Sina (Kelau), and Elizabeth Martha (Hunt), as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.Services will be held on Friday, March 17th at 5:30 pm at the LDS Chapel located at 8902 Highwood Drive, San Diego, California 92119 (adjacent to Grossmont college). Immediately following the service will be a luau for all attendees; Hawaiian attire is appropriate for the service and luau.
