Alejandrina Cole's Obituary
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Alejandrina “Chita” Cole, our matriarch and loving, devoted mother & grandmother. She passed away peacefully one day after her birthday on March 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. Alejandrina was born on March 23,1937 in Mexico. By age 11 she worked her way into a scholarship program that sent her to a boarding school in Hollywood, Ca. There she met the love of her life, Vittorio “Pete” Cole. They married in 1960 and had three wonderful daughters, Debra, Rosemarie & Virginia. While raising her family, she also worked at Foreman & Clark’s Department store for many years, ultimately turning down a job offer to be a traveling buyer so she could dedicate herself entirely to her family. Alejandrina was devoted to her faith in God and brought many souls to Christ throughout the years. She took great pride & joy in being a modern day disciple, spreading the love and word of God anywhere she went. She also took in many children and raised them as her own. Music was one of her greatest passions in life. She loved listening to her oldies, but was always on the lookout for the latest top hits. Alejandrina was also known for her expertise in the kitchen. She loved cooking delicious, elaborate meals for her family & she also enjoyed snacking on sweet treats. Her kind and gentle demeanor along with her warm, snuggly hugs made her the quintessential grandma, however she had no reservations when it came to speaking her mind.
She was the glue that kept our family together & always made sure to say I love you and take one last look before we left. She refused to take vacations because she wanted to be sure all of her finances would be for her daughters and grandchildren. She taught us to love and respect others always and to have a giving heart. We will never forget her for the selfless and unconditional love she gave us all. She will be forever in our hearts and so dearly missed…
