Alicia Bowerman's Obituary
Maria Alicia Bowerman was born on February 16, 1924 in Calexico, California to Sara Meneses. She passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2020 in El Cajon, California at the age of 96. She was raised in San Diego, California, and there she went to high school. She worked for Safeway for over 20 years and went on to managing a small home decorating store in Grossmont center in La Mesa, California, which she loved.
She loved her church and all her church family at the Church of the Nazarene; she was a member for over 80 years. She loved her family and friends deeply and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. She loved Christmas time and always tried to make special presents by personalizing each package with different Christmas ornaments. She loved baseball but especially the San Diego Padres. She watched the games every chance she had.
She leaves behind a son, Carlos Romero. Two grandsons and their wives: Carlos Romero and Paulina Santin of San Diego, California and Andres and Kimberly Romero of Murrieta, California. Her niece Lynn Marie McPhedran of Merced, California and Rosario Prieto of Chula Vista, California. She had 5 great grandchildren: Elena, Gabriella, Alejandro, Priscilla and Carlos.
