Dear Rodney and Family: On behalf of the Wong Family from the old neighborhood, we are saddened to learn of Amy’s passing. Amy was a such a lovely, sweet individual and reminded us so much of your mom. I had been trying to reach Amy for a short time but to no avail. Ever since we sold the apartments across the street and mom came to live with me, I often would call and check on Amy and asked her to do the same. I just stumbled upon the news when I was online searching for another possible way to contact her. We will miss Amy as much as we miss your dad and mom from being neighbors since the 1950’s and hold fond memories in our hearts. We offer our sincere condolences and prayers. We worked in different departments at SDSU library but our departments were next to each other. I will always remember her sweet smile, her interest in my family and a caring for everyone. She was a special person and will certainly be missed. As I am writing this I can see her smile. Bless you, Amy.

I worked with and was friends with Amy for 30 years and will miss her very much. She has a kind heart, was generous and humble. I will always remember our trips to L.A. to see a play, our dinners, ushering at the theater and so much more. My life has been enriched having Amy for my friend. The memories I share with Amy will always be a comfort for me as is the knowledge that she is in a better place now. Thank you, Amy, for being a true friend.

I remember taking Swedish together at night school in the early 1980s, when I was still a student assistant. We had a shared affection for England and Sweden, had good talks, and loved having tea. We worked together for 30 years at SDSU. I will miss her love for nature and its beauty, and so much more. I will miss you Amy. We were coworkers for years and best friends even longer. I’ll miss sharing a meal and good conversations. What ever the topic, books, sports, flowers, trees, dogs, cats, all things British etc., you had something interesting to say. She was sweet and kind and she loved many things. For example, sports. To find out how much she loved hockey or car racing, baseball! She knew names and stats and I admired her for even caring about these sports. She loved her nieces and nephew, her family, her sweet dog Pochi. She loved England and San Diego. If she loved something she would really love it with a passion. She had a beautiful mind and heart and she will be missed. Rest peacefully friend. See you again one day??
