Andrea Lee Doxey's Obituary
On November 12th, 1942 Andrea Lee Chapman was the second child born to the union of Barbara and Earl Chapman in San Diego, CA. Her mother and father proceeded her in death. Andrea was educated in the San Diego School District and graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school in 1960. After graduation Andrea wed Dennis Doxey Sr. and to this union two children were born; Dennis Doxey Jr. and Dionne Doxey.After her divorce Andrea went to work for the San Diego Unified School District. She raised her children and grandchildren with Pliny Steward until his death. She continued to work for the San Diego Unified School District until she retired in June 2003. After her retirement, she relocated to Northern California where she spent the next 14 years with her love Hurey Clark.Andrea will always be remembered for her kindness. She was a very helpful and sweet woman who would assist whenever she was needed. She was thoughtful to always remember your birthday with a phone call and a special birthday card. If you were lucky enough to enjoy her famous tacos that was a treat never to be forgotten. She is survived by her son Dennis Doxey Jr., daughter Dionne Doxey, sisters Carole Lee Steward, Shearl Lambert and her husband Clifford Lamber Jr., brothers Earl Chapman and his wife Michelle, Darnell, and Darryl and Gerald Chapman. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Deajanea Doxey, Dionne Wallace, and Destiny Doxey as well as her Aunt Wilhelmina Bell. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. They will all cherish her memory.
