Anetulia Eugene's Obituary
Dear Families and friends, gathered here to celebrate the life of Anetulia Eugene, I am going to make a short description of the route her life took until her passing on September 22nd of this year.
Anetulia Eugene was born in Limonade Haiti on Tuesday December 18th, 1917. Her parents were Nesida and Marius Eugene. She was raised in the Catholic faith and attended Catholic school. In 1934, she left her hometown to live in Cap-Haitien where she became a Nurse-Aid. She worked at the main public hospital in that city for many years. While living in Cap-Haitien she met Herman Morency in 1946. They got married and from that union 7 children were born: Maxi, Sonia, Jocelyne, Vernet, Dr. Lucette, Maryse, and Josie. In 1969, after a 7 day adventist evangelical crusade, she became a 7th day adventist church member and was baptised in December 26th of the same year. In 1970, she adopted 4 more children when her beloved sister suddenly passed away: Daniel, Danise, Sem, and Gath. In 1982, with her husband Anetulia moved to New Jersey in the US, to be with her adult children and their grand-children. In 1986, unfortunately she lost her beloved husband. In 2000, because of climate conditions in New Jersey, she moved permanently to San Diego, California to live with her daughter Josie Eugene where she remained until her passing.
God blessed Anetulia with a long life, 3 months shy of her 103rd birthday. He also blessed her with a big and caring family. 7 children I mentioned before, 26 grand-children: Maverne, Tracy, Keisha, Mildred, Brahms, Tara, Marcus, Dominique, Kevin, Stanley, Eddine, Reavens, Vernet jr., Vernand, Evena, Diana, Kimberly, Laura, Luce, Sam, Stephanie, Terry, Alyssa, Lessie, Estelle, and Kanie. She also has 34 great grand- children.
It is painful at this time to see her go and to say goodbye. But we remain faithful that one day we’ll see her again in all her glory. In the name of the entire family. I say we’ll see you at the resurrection.
