Anna Woo-Lin's Obituary
A Loving Farewell to Anna Anna Woo-Lin was born on June 3, 1969, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Tuong Woo and Huong Lee Woo. Anna was the eldest of four daughters. Her sisters, Charlene, Katrina, and Samantha, survive her. Anna and her family immigrated to San Diego, California, in May 1980. She attended Roosevelt Junior High School and San Diego High School, where she graduated in 1987. In 1994, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from San Diego State University. Anna married Sylvester Lin in 1994 in San Diego, where Anna became a homemaker and Sly started his career as a civil engineer for Caltrans. They had two daughters, Emily Catherine, born July 2, 1999, and Katie Kellsie, born October 10, 2000. The family moved to Murrieta, California, in 2006. Anna devoted her life to raising her daughters and being the best wife and mother possible. Emily and Katie were Anna’s pride and joy from the day they were born to the day she passed away. She was amazed at the girls’ abilities in music, academics, and sports and was proud of their accomplishments. In October 2012, Anna was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. For the two years following surgery, she underwent multiple chemotherapy treatments and several other procedures without a break. Anna fought for her life every step of the way and when carrying on became difficult, she would muster all the strength she could in order to continue to be able to parent her daughters for as long as possible. No matter how hard she tried, however, Anna’s cancer spread too quickly and all measures to fight it proved unsuccessful. She passed away at 10:09 P.M. on Thursday, October 9, 2014, with her family at her bedside. Anna was a very brave, sociable, generous, considerate, caring, and loving person. She had a strong passion and talent for cooking and her dream was to one day open a restaurant. At home, she could often be found at the stove for hours at a time, preparing soup, egg rolls, noodles, and other delicacies for her friends and family to enjoy. She never tired of the task. Anna’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is beloved beyond words as a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend. She will be missed dearly.Anna Woo,一个充满爱的告别 Anna W00出生于1969年6月3日在西贡,越南.
