Janie Barnett
I knew Tony when I was just 24 — many years ago! I met someone with the same last name and had such wonderful memories of him return that I decided that I would see if he was still in San Diego. I came across the obituary. I know this was such a loss to his family and friends. I worked with him when I was a secretary — he was one of the only people there who respected all staff no matter what position. He was also one of the people who was a very early mentor in my life. I went on to work at another university in Iowa and then a higher education professional association in DC (still there). Generous and kind heart. I know he is missed. Janie Ayers Barnett.
