My dear cousin Auggie you were always so cool. Just a beautiful person to be around I have a hard time coming to grips with this reality and death of loved ones in general. I have to hold your memory with the last time we hung out and the time before that I met Jason when we hung out to watch Rachelle perform. I miss you cousin. We were all close as kids growing up and going to family gatherings at nana's. Those days as I figured we were all invincible because this family is strong and resilient but this is surreal and random. My heart goes out to Aunt Polly Uncle Tim, Terrell, Tamera, Nicholas and Jason. There is always a moment in my day where I stop in silence to remember my beloved cousin. I will miss you Auggie. My deepest heartfelt condolences to you Jason and family. I might not have had a close friendship with your wife, but all it took was that beautiful smile to know she was very special. In passing I always admired how well she was able to handle walking in those boots around the crazy messed up streets on base. I admired her and saw the special love you both shared, oh who will ever forget the delicious food brought to the potlucks in Bldg 334-3 not me. Words can't express how we will miss one of God's angels called home in the prime of this life, it will be difficult and a hard road ahead. But as a Christian I say look up and she's sitting up there next to God singing and playing her instrument leaving you memories of love. August was one of the few who I was lucky enough to know who was on the level. We desperately need more beautiful and selfless people like her in this word. She will truly be missed.

There are many ways to describe August. She was beautiful, kind, humble, loved to cook, and loved Jason deeply. She was one of the strongest and smartest women that I know. I was amazed that at her young age, she already accomplished so much in life. I remember the first time I saw her at my work; she was quiet but when you start talking to her, you would be amazed of how smart, kind and outspoken she was.
August and I would have lots of conversations about life. She would share how her weekend was good and enjoyed it with her friends, family, and most of all her loving husband. I am going to miss our conversations, our laughter and all the good times. I will forever miss you my friend and my sister from another mother.
August was truly one of a kind and a diamond in the rough. She and Jason worked with me at the same agency when I first moved to California . They took me under their wings and immediately became my family here when I didn’t know anyone. August was one of the Few and only girlfriends I had out here. She was different than most of the people I met here she was so welcoming, humble, down to earth, kind, and always there for you no matter what. I always enjoyed all of our good times together going out around town ,Or just staying in and having the best conversations ever. No matter where you were with her it didn’t matter what was going on around you, it was always the best times full of laughter or tears just talking about life . Her and Jason always supported me during the good times and the bad. I will always cherish and miss those times together. I always looked up to her for being such a strong, independent, smart, beautiful, talented, and powerful woman..with badass style all while at the same time she could be so vulnerable, sensitive, and intuitive.
