Castro, Augusto Soberano's Obituary
Augusto Ceasar Castro, born on January 26, 1937, in the Philippines, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024. He was 87 years old.
Augusto dedicated a decade of his life to serving as a nursing assistant, a role in which he touched many lives with his compassion and care. For the past 33 years, he made his home in San Diego, where he was a beloved member of the community.
A devout Catholic, Augusto's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was married to Caridad Castro, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they raised six children: Ray Castro, Catherine Castro, Christine Castro, Julie Castro, Helen Rontale, and Richard Castro, who predeceased him.
Augusto is survived by his five children, his three siblings, Diana De Veyra, Constantine Castro, and Manuel Castro, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his siblings Julio Castro Jr., Gloria Amata, and Adolfo Castro.
Augusto cherished his large family and spent his time singing karaoke and watching movies, activities that brought him great happiness and allowed him to share joyful moments with his loved ones.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
