Aurora H. Becerra's Obituary
Aurora Hernandez Becerra was born to proud parents Norberto and Vicenta Hernandez on July 2, 1929 in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, Mexico. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
In September of 1945, she met her late husband, Pedro Becerra Garcia. In 1946 they welcomed their first daughter and went on to have nine additional children. As the family grew, they moved to Obregon, Sonora, Mexico in 1959, and then to Tijuana, Baja California in 1965. They eventually relocated to San Diego, California in the 1970's where she remained until her passing.
Aurora was a devoted mother with a passion for sewing. She was a self-taught clothing designer; she would design and create beautiful one of a kind-pieces for her beautiful daughters. She worked as a Seamstress for over 50 years to help provide for her family. She loved to sing, it would lift up her spirit, and dance to the beat of any music. One of the strongest women you will ever encounter. A tireless warrior until the very end. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She is now reunited with her loving husband, daughter Enedina Herrera and family members who preceded her in death. Aurora is survived by her (Daughters) Maria M. Bernal, Emilia H. Becerra, Urcina B. Gonzalez, Francisca A. Chavez, Martina G. Lechuga; (Sons) Rodolfo H. Becerra, Jose Luis Becerra, Pedro H. Becerra; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. May her memory be a blessing to her family and friends.
Just close your eyes and you will see
All of the memories that you have of me
Just quiet your mind and you will find me
My memory will always live inside your heart
Please do not cry for me now
I have reunited with my loved ones
I am in the land of song dancing
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away your tears
Do not think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am, no longer old
I’m in the place that is filled with love
Known to you all, as heaven
