I remember as a small child there was this tree house down the street from our house in Silver City. It was an old dinky thing built by nieghborhood kids probably a decade before. My dad had me climb it so I could look around. When it was time to come down my dad had me jump to him instead of climbing down. Now I don't know how long it took him to talk me into it but I did. I did because I knew that he would catch me. Ive carried that feeling with me my whole life that no matter what pickle I got myself into he would be there for me. He never ever let me down.

Donna, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Benny was my Radiology Manager here at MMC in Modesto. The staff still talk about the days he spent here. The candy he gave everyone, the jokes and more importantly his caring personality. Benny was a very special man, he made my life easier and more enjoyable that's for sure. Uncle Benny, I will always remember when my brother and I were little and we would visit or stay with you while our parents were away. Man, it was so much fun spending time with you and the family. Always making us laugh and going places. I remember going to the beach one time to ride horses with the family and Peter almost falling off the horse but holding on for dear life. And you catching up to him at the same time laughing your heart out. But you know Peter loving every minute of it. Lol, those were some good times. You are one of my sweetest and funniest uncles, and I will never forget you. You will forever be in my heart. I love you so much!!! Until we meet again.

From Benny's Memorial family in Modesto we extend our sincere sympathy to Donna and the entire Canales family at this time of loss. We were all shocked and saddened at the news of his passing and have been reminiscing of all the good times we shared with him here at work in the x-ray department. Benny was a pleasure to work with, was always positive, and never at a loss for something humorous to say to make our work days a little bit brighter. We truly were blessed to have him in our lives.
