Bernadette Acosta's Obituary
Bernadette “Berna” Acosta, 74, was born on August 17,1949 in El Paso, Texas. She passed
away on November 22, 2023 after a very sudden decline in her health due to pulmonary
fibrosis. In 1961, her parents, Ernestina and Arthur Venzor, moved her and her brother Arthur Jr.
to San Diego, California to build a better life for their family. She met her Husband Francisco
Acosta, instantly fell in love and married in 1969. Together they raised three children; Tina,
Harvey and Theresa Acosta. Bernadette inherited her mothers business and became owner of Acosta Residential Facilities in 2008. She and her husband Francisco worked incredibly hard to provide for their family, they created a beautiful life together and celebrated 54 years of marriage, just this October. Bernadette had many accomplishments in her life within her business and always treated people like family. She opened her home to many and made each and every loved one feel as if they were her own. Bernadettes love for her family was
inevitable, so much, that she was able to watch and enjoy seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren grow up and love her, before her very eyes. Bernadette was a beautiful
person inside and out, the most selfless human being, and dedicated her life giving to those she
loved. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
