Billy Carl Grable's Obituary
Billy Carl Grable, age 93, was called Home to our Lord on July 29, 2022. Billy was born April 8, 1929 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Paul Grable and Alberta Christian. Billy grew up with five siblings: Peggy, Ross, Bub, Cuppie and David. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1948 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in San Diego CA, where he met the love of his life, his girl Lucille, may she rest in peace. After serving his country, Billy worked for Safeway, in various departments during his 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He is survived by his sons James, Steven, and Robert, his daughter in law Sandra, his grandkids Charity, Natalie and AJ, Alex, Matthew, and David. His great grandkids Trevor, Grace, Miles, and Sunny. His hobbies included anything military, the Cowboys, Western movies, cigars, yard work, and storytelling. He was a loving husband to his girl Lucille, a wonderful father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a kind Christian man who loved the Lord and life.
Services for Billy will be conducted at the Greenwood Mausoleum on Friday, August 12th 2022. The viewing will be at 10:00am, followed by 11:00 service with burial to follow.
