Joseph R. Hall “Bishop”, 84, of Lemon Grove, California, passed away, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Promise Hospital after complications from a massive stroke. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 21 at Total Deliverance Worship Center, 2774 Sweetwater Springs Blvd, Spring Valley, CA 91977. Bishop Donnie N. McGriff will be officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego at 2:00 pm. With deep sorrow, he will share this day with his loving son, Joseph R. Hall III, who passed away from a heart attack on February 8, 2107.Bishop Hall was born November 1, 1932 in Tuscaloosa Alabama to Joseph Sr. and Evada (Pierce) Hall. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 18 and after 11 years of honorable service, he dedicated his life to the service of the Lord. Bishop Hall became a Pastor under the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc (P.A.W) Organization in 1976. In 1998, after great faithfulness and dedication, he was elevated to Suffragan Bishop overseeing 21 churches in Southern California. He retired from being a Pastor in 2014, but never stopped telling people about Christ.
