Blanca Estela Ramirez's Obituary
On Monday, September 7, 2020, Blanca Estela Ramirez, loving daughter, sister, and mother of two children, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, at the age of 54 at UCSD Hillcrest in San Diego, CA.
Blanca was born on January 5, 1966 in Los Angeles, CA to Estela Salazar and Joel Ramirez.
She was the third youngest child to be born into a family of five sisters and three brothers.
She attended Montgomery High School in San Diego, CA. At the age of 17 she became ill and then she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Lupus, which she openly struggled with as it made the demands of everyday life challenging.
She always wanted to bear children and on November 17, 1992, Blanca had what she called “a miracle baby”, Brianna. Blanca was a loving and caring person that had a great sense of humor. She would help those in need at any time of the day. She regularly attended church at St. Charles in Imperial Beach. She would also donate to St. Jude Church. Blanca was an avid music lover and loved to dance the night away while showing off her special dance moves. She loved strolling the beach especially with her dog, Sheba. She also enjoyed being with family and friends. People could not get enough of her famous casserole, strawberry shortcakes, and milkshakes.
Blanca touched a lot of lives wherever she went, she made a mark on people's lives. Blanca was known as a fighter and having “9 lives”. Despite the pain and discomfort, on the days that she felt sick, she still strived to move forward.
Blanca was preceded in death by her son, Christian; her two sisters, Arcelia and Veronica; and her grandmother, Josefina.
Blanca is survived by and will be lovingly forever remembered by her parents, her daughter, her siblings, her pet Sheba, and numerous relatives and friends.
