Bobby John Clark's Obituary
Bobby John Clark was born on September 30, 1928 in a farmhouse in Geary, Oklahoma to parents John and Ruth. He was the oldest of four siblings, Maxine, Bill, and Darlene. Bob was raised on a farm where he developed his sense of hard work and responsibility. In 1949 he married the love of his life Wilda Jean Emery of Sedan, Kansas and they were the proud parents of four children: Dave, Larry, Pat, and Scott. In the early 1950s Bob moved to San Diego and began his long employment with San Diego Gas & Electric. He was a proud lineman and crew foreman tasked with ensuring that countless numbers of San Diegans had electricity in their homes, even if that meant waking up in the middle of the night to respond to a downed power line during a rainstorm. Bob and Wilda were active square dancers and enjoyed camping with their friends and family. Most three-day weekends the Clarks were off to a campground somewhere around San Diego County. When Bob retired in 1987, he and Wilda traveled the United States in their 5th wheel trailer, spending their well-deserved time together doing what they loved. The Clarks Bob continued their camping lifestyle until Wilda passed in 2008 with Bob at her side. Bob remained in his trailer at Wilderness Lakes Campground, living the way he still wanted. He was a popular figure and remained active playing cards and bingo with numerous friends. He was well loved and respected by many, especially his family including his 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Bob touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
