Brandi Rechelle Baker 1984 - 2026
Brandi Rechelle Baker, 41, of San Diego, CA passed away on 02/10/2026.
Brandi was born in Oceanside on July 21st, 1984, to Bernadette Farris and Kenneth Baker. She got her education in Southern California even getting a degree in Education at San Diego State University. After graduating from SDSU, she went to work as a teacher, molding the young minds in her care.
In her free time Brandi was always learning and growing. She was a voracious reader and a fantastic writer who even had some of her poetry published. She was a lover of music and had favorites from countless genres, decades and areas of the world. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of movie trivia and was a fierce and highly effective competitor in board games.
If you were close to Brandi you knew she also loved sports and being active. She played basketball while in school but continued to find joy in the sport through the Phoenix Mercury and the Los Angeles Lakers. She loved walking and exercising herself but she also tried to encourage other to move more and to get healthy.
Above everything though, Brandi loved being a mother. She loved watching her children learn and grow just like she did. If you were around her for more than five minutes, she couldn’t help but gush about her kids. She raised them to be bright, curious, and wonderful just like her. Brandi will be remembered as a vibrant woman, a dedicated mother and a strong defender of those she loved. She is survived by her mother Bernadette, her children Shai and Linkin and her Husband Henry.
Her Viewing is on March 3rd at Greenwood cemetery’s Garden Chapel from 4:30pm – 8:00pm, her Service is on March 4th at Greenwood cemetery’s Garden Chapel at 11:00am, and the Internment of her ashes is on March 5th at Holy Cross’s St. Peter’s Columbarium.
