Buford Era Pickett's Obituary
Buford E. Pickett (Pick), 90, of Santee, California, passed away on August 26, 2016 from complications related to Heart Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease.The military honor service will be held at Miramar National Cementary on Wednesday October 5 at 10:30 am, where his ashes will be interned.Pick was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on May 25, 1926. He graduated from San Diego High School in 1945.Pick was married to Clare Pickett on December 27, 1958, they were married for 57 years.Pick worked as a wholesale newspaper distributor for a multitude of National Newspaper companies for over 60 years. He enjoyed golf, racquetball and bowling. He loved handicapping the horses and playing slot machines. He was also actively involved in his church.Pick is survived by his wife Clare, his son Tony, his granddaughter Abigail, and his great-grandaughter Isabella and other family members and friends who all surrounded him in his final hours.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to your local Alzheimer’s Association
