To the memory of Carl: Carl, I only became acquainted with you because of the Higbee reunions. The last several you were absent, and Rod informed me you were ailing. You did a remarkable and fine job on the Higbee roster. I shall always be grateful for your tireless efforts, and the roster, which is a monument to your selfless concern for all of us. Carl was one of the blessings in my life. The memories and times shared were and are so wonderful to me. He was a gifted musician and a wonderful friend always willing to go beyond. It hlds true that the best go first and He surely ,must be playing a "gig" behind the pearly gates. God bless his family and loved ones granting them the knowledge that our loved ones are never gone but merely away for a short while awaiting us.
