Carmelita Bastero Scott's Obituary
Carmelita, also known as Carmen, was born on July 16, 1936 in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. She is the 4th out of 10 children. She attended St. Catherine’s High School where she was active in the theatrical arts. Carmen went to college at Far Eastern University and received a degree in banking and finance. She married Randolph Scott on January 23, 1960. They moved to America because of Randy’s service in the U.S. Navy. They settled in San Diego in 1970 and raised a family of four children. Her dedicated service to the Navy Exchange Service Command lasted for 29 years. Carmen has always been active in community service. Most notable are the Lions Club, the Bambanguenos, Santa Sophia Catholic Church, and the Lord Jesus Christ Mercy Ministry. One of her joys in life was serving others selflessly. She loved to entertain friends and family. She’s also a talented dancer. You may remember seeing her dance with her husband Randy at many a party. Most of all she loved her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The best words to describe her are beautiful, funny, smart, respectful, compassionate, admirable and playful. Carmen is survived by …son Bobby, grandson Michael and granddaughter-in-law Irene, and great grandchildren Maelyn and Ethan …daughter Lorna and son-in-law Chito, and grandchildren Christian and Cassidy …daughter Lynette, granddaughter Tyanna and grandson-in-law Tommy, and great grandchildren Ella and Derek; grandchildren Ashley, Chelsea, Jasmine, Armanie, Melvin, and Miyah …son Randy Jr. and daughter-in-law Digna, and granddaughter Charly …brothers William, Rodolfo, Jaime, Eduardo and Ruben …sisters Anita and Norma Carmen is now resting in peace and reunited with her husband.
