Carol's impact on my life was incredibly rewarding. In 1986, when I started working at SDTCU, she was my right hand person, and my mentor as I navigated the waters of an established credit union. Her knowledge of the goals of the credit union and its members was invaluable. Carol assisted me in guiding the credit union board members towards programs and ideas that would help the credit union develop into the respected 95 year old financial institution it is today.
In addition to our professional interactions, I considered Carol a friend. We met socially with Paul, Carol and her very good friend, Jean Sweeney, and enjoyed our times together. I definitely remember that smile that would start on Carol's face - the twinkle in her eye - and then you knew she was going to say something that would make everyone laugh or smile. Carol was a sheer delight to be around.
Carol will be missed by all who knew her, but the fond memories of her will bring smiles to our faces for years to come.
