Carol Sandra Williams' Obituary
Carolyn Sandra Williams of Hemet, CA, was born on March 4, 1950 in San Diego, CA to the proud parents Mose Lee, Jr. and Cora Lee Lee. Affectionately known as Carol; she was the 3rd of 8 children born to this proud union. Carol was fondly known for her constant laughter, humorous nature and glamorous style. She would uplift you on your worst day with a joking spirit that would change your whole mood.
She was always the life of the party.
Carol’s outgoing, fun and charming nature caught the attention of Rufus Williams, Jr. They were soon joined in holy matrimony. From their union 3 beautiful daughters were born.
Carol later chose to excell in a career with the Naval Military base, as a photo lab technician. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed gatherings and many celebrations at home with her family and loved ones. Carol later met John Dawson, Sr, of their union they had a son. While working at North Island Naval base San Diego, Carol’s charm and favor caught the eye of Marshall Makell and of their union, they had a son.
Carol is deeply cherished, loved
and will always be fondly remembered by her children.
On December 4, 2023, God whispered in a soft voice and said "Thou good and faithful servant, it’s time to rest.”

Sister: Linda Lee Greene and 2 siblings prior to Carol’s birth.
Left to cherish her life and memory; Her children, Erica Williams of San Ysidro, CA, Portia Ashford of Spring Valley, CA, Denise Williams of Surprise, AZ, her two sons John Dawson, Jr. (Shanna) of Goodyear, AZ, Nathan Makell of San Ysidro, CA grandchildren: Timothy Winfrey, Torian Winfrey, Tamesha Winfrey, Denizha Miller, Daveon Marcus, Damari McCray, Savannah Williams, Maliq Cross, Kianna Dawson, Brianna Dawson, Jaylen Dawson, Rihanna, Dawson, Jayden Dawson, Cynthia Williams, Chrysta Williams, Devonta Williams & great-grandchildren, Zaiden Winfrey, Zayveon Winfrey, Zyla Winfrey, Zamir Winfrey, Zane Winfrey, Ivanna Winfrey, Dorrian Winfrey, Darrian Winfrey, Zyaire Miller, Laveah Clark, Azariah Cross, 1 sister; Gloria Shell Williams of San Diego, CA as well as; a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, loved ones and friends.
The celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2024.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all that; were there during this time of need and to Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
