Nina, I will always remember every visit we had with you. I will remember you for your smile, your laughter and your sweet voice. You were such a beautiful and giving person Nina- every birthday you would send a birthday card that meant more than you know, and would go out of your way to give everyone small gifts making everyone feel special and remembered. I will never forget the last time I saw you and sat with you on your bed talking- you always reminded us that you prayed for everyone every night and I hope you continue to watch over us now that you are in a better place. Dearest nana, Im still in shock that your really not here anymore. I cant stop thinking about you and in my own world as im thinking of you I start to cry and a half hour later I start laughing remembering all the good times we shared together. you are the first person that's ever been close to me, that has been taken away from me.i want you to know that my dad and tio Sergio are in good hands we will always be there for them no matter what. I remember as a little kid, Sergio and I used to play outside, run around and do things that kids do. And when we would get hungry we would go to Doña Cata's apartment to make a bologna burrito with flour tortillas or a flour tortilla with butter! I know, very healthy right? But what I remember the most is when Doña Cata use to make us the most incredible Pancakes! If any of you has ever had them, you know what I'm talking about. And till this day 20 years later, every time I eat pancakes, I remember her and picture myself as a little kid eating her pancakes. I tell my wife all the time she makes me pancakes, who was the best, Doña Cata! I'm deeply sadden she is gone! Richard Luna

Doña Catalina… Adorable in every sense of the world.. always looking after my good friend (her granddaughter~Catalina)..she was very assertive that I even got scolded but that's just the way she was and I loved her for that..I remember that I would go look for my friend Cat and sit and chat away with Doña Catalina…very grateful that I was able to meet this wonderful lady….an Angel that will watch over her family…May she rest in Heaven Paradise!
