Catalina G. Lemon's Obituary
Catalina G. Lemon born on January 26, 1928 in San Gabriel, California to parents Eliserio Limon and Maria Gamboa Limon entered into rest on October 02, 2020 in San Diego, California. She was part of two large Tijuana pioneering families, Limon and Gamboa. She resided in Tijuana and Tecate for many years while raising her family. She was a businesswoman and entrepreneur who operated two retail stores in Tecate for many years as well as volunteering throughout the state of Baja, California in association with Liga International. During her senior years, she moved to the Chula Vista area where she always had an open and welcome door to family and many friends. You can always have a hot cup of coffee and something to eat during your visits. Her sense of style and grace was well known to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and delighted in her storytelling. One of her life’s passions was learning and sharing about the history of Baja, California and its inhabitants. Catita, or Eva, as she was also known, bore eight children: Jose Luis (+), Trinidad, Samuel (+), Jose Manuel, Alberto, Rocio, Rolando (+), and Lorena. Also surviving her are her two brothers, Eliserio Limon Gamboa and Eduardo Limon Gamboa. Her legacy includes 30 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Her life and love clearly made an impact that will last for many generations.
