I had the pleasure of knowing Cecil and his wife for a few years in Santee. I had parents and relatives in WWll and I noticed on his walls the pictures or that time. I worked in their home and became friends shortly thereafter. I was amazed at the history that Cecil had. I would listen as long as I could to the accounts of Dec 7th. Cecil became a friend. A true friend. I had to move away from CA and I never forgot to cal Cecil on Dec 7th each year. One time he informed me that he hung up on his son or daughter to talk to me. What a guy. As the years passed I called him on Dec 7th , and Veterans day because of his age. He was a compassionate and caring man that I will never forget. He was a friend and a great man in my eyes !! Rest easy.
