Celeste Star Warren's Obituary
Celeste Star Warren peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at the age of 57 in Tucson, Arizona. Celeste was born on May 25th, 1967 in Oxnard, California to Geraldine Montgomery and Frank Gilbert Tarkany III. She was the second born; and grew up with her brother Frank IV. The family moved around southern California during the beginning of her childhood but the Tarkany family bought a home in 1973, when she was entering 1st grade and settled down in University City, San Diego CA; where she would live most of her adulthood. She had many hobbies growing up including being a part of Indian Maidens, playing ping pong with her father and brother, and playing horse games. She grew a deep love for horses that continued into her adulthood. During her teen years, she even got to own her horse that was named Bella la Cava. She attended Spreckels Elementary, Standley Middle School, and then graduated from University City High School in 1985. While she lived most of her life in San Diego, she decided to move to Tucson AZ after her husband’s passing and lived with two of her daughters during the last year of her life. At the age of 20, Celeste met Roger Warren at Art Park in San Diego, CA. Roger and Celeste bonded over music, friendship, and entertainment and fell in love with each other. On May 7, 1989, Roger and Celeste got married. Together, they had three daughters: Sarena, Teresa, and Jenna. Celeste was blessed to become a grandmother and truly has a special bond with her granddaughters: Elliana and Marceline Cano. She was also a cat mother to several cats, more recently to Dash and Violet. She had various jobs, like working at Builders Emporium, Petco, and Walmart. But for the majority of her career, Celeste was a Bank Teller for Checks Cash for Less during young adulthood. After the birth of her youngest daughter; she became a Head Cashier and worked for Sprouts for 17 years; up until her passing. She was a true celebrity at Sprouts; as many people around University City and Tucson recognized her. Her family and friends have truly lost a very important person. Her passion and hobbies, which I know many of us shared with her, was her love for music, specifically heavy metal, going to concerts, watching movies and soap operas; the young and restless, and swimming in her pool. As I mentioned briefly, she had a deep love for horses at a young age. This love was founded through her own horse she had in her teen years and developed into a love of horse racing for the remainder of her life. Her love for animals did not only include horses, but also spread into a love of cats in her adult years. She and her family rescued several stray cats and gave them loving homes. One of her true passions was becoming a mother and grandmother, which she took extreme pride in. Celeste always made time for her daughters and granddaughters. She also made a lasting impression with her looks, style, and personality from a young age. She can be truly known for her bright blond hair and makeup; specifically her purple eyeshadow. She was also a devout Catholic and became a member of the catholic church in 1999. Through religion, Celeste was able to connect deeply with her family and had a true passion for Christ. She will truly be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Those who will miss Celeste the most include her three daughters, Sarena Cano and her husband Sam, Teresa Warren and her husband Justin, and Jenna Warren; her granddaughters Elliana and Marceline Cano. Her cats Violet and Dash. Her brother Frank Tarkany IV, her sister and brother in law’s, her nieces and nephews, her coworkers as well as the host of friends she had. May she rest well with her husband Roger, her mother Geraldine, her father Frank, and the rest of the family who has passed; that she has joined in heaven above
