Charles Chuck E. Bratcher's Obituary
Bratcher, Charles “Chuck” E. 08/18/1932–06/22/14 OCOTILLO – Charles was born in Safford, Arizona to Mary Drusilla Peterson and Charles V. Bratcher. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricha, son David (Belinda) Bratcher and daughter Diana (Tony) Escalera, grandchildren Loretta, Anthony, Sarah and Mary, and great-grandchildren Weston, Chloe and Halle, and sisters Marvell Dawson and Laree (Frain) Pearson. Charles graduated from Kearny High School in 1950, and honorably served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers performing various land surveying projects. After the Army he continued land surveying, and in May 1971 along with Joe Switzer, they established Switzer and Bratcher Surveyors, Inc. in La Mesa, California. After 26 years with his company, he retired and began enjoying his hobbies fulltime of boating and fishing on the Colorado River, and riding the sand dunes at Gordon Wells, California with his family. Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113. June 27, 2014 at 2pm with a viewing prior from 1pm – 2pm
