Celebrating the life of Charles E. JacksonCharles was born on July 24, 1929 in Clayton, Oklahoma. Charles was the the second of three sons born to Naomi and Walter Jackson. Charles lived in Oklahoma until the age of 11, his family then moved to San Diego, California. Charles worked for Continental Bakery Wonderbread for 37 years. In 1989 he decided it was time to retire. Charles and his wife, Dorothy were married on April 26, 1964 at the Del Cerro Baptist Church. The happy adventurous couple spent a lot of time traveling the world and visited Hawaii a total of 27 times! Charles enjoyed bowling and watching football, baseball and hockey. In his younger years he was quite the water skier! Charles was a dedicated member of the Mission Church of the Nazerene. Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy and his children, grand children and great grand children. The family will cherish their memories of Charlie. He was a loving, caring, responsible, kind and devoted man. In the words of his wife he was the “#1 husband and the love of her life!”A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday 11/18/15 at The Mission Church of the Nazarene, located at 4750 Mission Gorge Place, San Diego, CA 92120.
