CHARLES CECIL KINNEY: born on December 29, 1939 in Wichta, Kansas, to Lucretia Adams- Kinney and Roosevelt Kinney. Charles siblings included (4 ) sisters: Carolyn (living), Lois, Jacquelyn, Barbara-Jean and ( 2) brothers: Richard, and George. ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ACHIEVEMENTS:Charles started working at age 6, with his father, every morning before school and weekends. This begins Charles’ work career, which spanned over 60 years. Charles went to the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17, where he fought in the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California, MCRD, where he met, stationed together and married Marjorie Harris, and together they had children. Charles received an honorable discharge after 20 years of service. Charles worked at International Labor Union No. 89, where he started as a laborer and worked up through the ranks into the corporate office as a Business Representative. He fought for fair wages, employee and union benefits for workers; while assisting members in obtaining and maintaining employment. Charles had a variety of jobs throughout the years and obtained several accolades for outstanding work performance.LINEAGE:Charles three children of his lineage are as follows: Robyn Michele Lavender, Charles Fitzgerald Kinney and Patricia Nicole Archie. The grandsons of his lineage are as follows: Anthony Anders, D’Arcee Anders, and Dominique Dorsey. The granddaughters of his lineage are as follows: Charity Sanders, Helen Sanders, Michele Sanders, Dru Lars and Hannah Sanders. Charles’ great- grand daughters of his lineage are as follows: Jordyn Amor Durham and Samantha Marie Conner. Living Sister’s Offspring; Carolyn Chism: (nephews) James and Kenston Chism, (Great Nephews): Zachery, Bradley and Jordan (Great-Great-Nephews): Cam and Rett. And a host of nieces, great nieces and great-great nieces, nephews, great nephews and great-great nephews and cousins.
