I had a chance to visit San Diego a couple years ago, it was about 2am and I thought "Hey, Charlie always said I could call him late..".. I gave him a call and he was at my hotel in about 10 minutes. We chatted about funny stuff, sad stuff, the stuff that made us, us. We found a cool looking burrito spot somewhere around 3am, and this big fight broke out between the cashier and some other patrons pickup up their food. Charlie and I continued to eat our burritos like nothing was happening, and only chuckled for a moment on the way home "hah, that was silly". I felt so calm in his presence. I'll miss him dearly.
