Charlotte Ann Hawes' Obituary
Charlotte Ann Hawes (Williams) passed away on April 14, 2023, in Alpine, California. She was born on February 12, 1941, in Paris, Arkansas to parents Daniel Webster Williams and Sophie Marie Williams. The Williams family settled in Oklahoma and were proud members of the Muscogee Creek Nation. The Williams family eventually landed in Pacific Beach, California. Charlotte attended Pacific Beach Junior High School and Mission Bay Senior High School, where she graduated in 1959. She was raised in the Pacific Beach Church of Christ. Throughout her life, Charlotte worked in several different industries. She worked at First National Bank and as a graphic artist and bookstore manager for Grossmont College. Charlotte was a long-standing member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Harbor Lights Chapter #358, having been initiated in 1987 and serving as Worthy Matron in 1998. Charlotte was also preceded in death by her parents, Web and Marie Williams, and sisters Betty Lou Edwards, Elva Wheeler, and Carmen Sadler.
