Clara Mae Thornton's Obituary
Clara Mae Thornton, 85, passed away on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, with her family by her side in Santee, CA. She was born on Sunday, July 4th, 1937 in New Albany, IN to Roy and Edna Ambers.
Clara was married for 68 years to her late beloved husband, William Roosevelt Thornton, with whom she had five children, Sherry, Debbie, Faye, Mike, and Mark. In 1965 William and Clara moved from Kentucky to California where they watched over four generations of family.
Clara devoted much of her life to raising her family. She loved flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. Her family will forever remember her loving, kind spirit.
