Clare Louise Pickett's Obituary
Clare Louise Pickett, age 89, passed away peacefully July 15, 2020 due to natural causes. She was born November 19, 1930 in Trinidad, Colorado to Alfonso and Edith Mazzulla. She was married to Buford (Pick) Pickett for fifty-nine years; who preceded her in death in 2016.
She loved golf; both Clare and Pick played golf & racquetball with their friends in their younger days. Clare really enjoyed Las Vegas, she played video poker and she was incredibly lucky!
Clare was a partner with her husband in the newspaper distribution business for many years throughout San Diego County. She would deliver newspapers to the airport in the early morning hours, accompanied by her beloved Poodle, Cognac. The airport’s main snack bar would always give Cognac a real hot dog, so he especially loved making that delivery with her.
Clare is survived by her son, Tony Pickett; granddaughter, Abby Pickett; Great-Granddaughter, Bella Martinez; and Great-Grandson, Stephen Joseph Cotta Jr.
