Colleen Gott's Obituary
Colleen Barton Gott, 91, of San Diego, California, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on February 15, 2026
.
Born January 2, 1935, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Colleen was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Jessie Barton and the last surviving sibling of her family. She devoted her life to faith, family, and service, and will be remembered most as a loving and giving mother whose quiet strength and steady love shaped generations. Colleen especially loved sharing laughs with her family, and her warm, joyful spirit will be deeply missed.
Colleen was married to her devoted husband, Charles “Charlie” Gott, for 68 wonderful years until his passing in December. Together they built a Christ-centered home and faithfully served the Lord throughout their lives. Colleen was actively involved in her church for most of her life, where her servant’s heart and gentle spirit blessed many.
She lovingly dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mother to her two children, Chuck and Debbie. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and watching it grow.
Colleen is survived by her son, Charles Gott Jr.; her daughter, Deborah Gray, and son-in-law Jeff Gray; her grandsons, Daniel Gray and Timothy Gray; her granddaughter-in-law, Meaghan Gray; sister-in-law, Vicki Barton, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Colleen’s life will be held on March 21, 2026.
Colleen’s legacy of faith, love, and gentle kindness will live on in all who knew her.
