Concepción “Concha” Cortez was called to eternal rest on August 21st with her family by her side. Born on March 28, 1927 in Madera, Chihuahua, Concepción was one of six children born to Florencia (Scott) and Juan Alcala. Concepción was preceded in death by her husband, John Cortez. She is survived by her three daughters, Lilia (Stanley) Lappinga, Josie Cortez, Susan (John) McDaniel; her five grandchildren Andrea (Kenneth) Scott, Lisa May, David (Lauren) Lappinga, Pat McDaniel, Eric (Marcela) Lappinga; her 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Donations to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation or your favorite charity is requested in lieu of flowers.
