Robert David Coplen passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2019 in Sacramento, California. He was 48 years old.He left behind his five children Jessica, Jennifer, Justin, Jamece, and Jeremy; mother Thelma Poulson; father Roger Coplen; and sisters Lonnie Coplen, Laura German, and Lisa Coplen.Robert grew up in California, Oregon, and Utah. When Robert was young, he liked to go to Disneyland for the rides, and to get his picture taken with Mickey Mouse. He also loved camping, fishing, and exploring the woods of California, Oregon, and Utah with his sisters and parents. He enjoyed playing T-ball and basketball. He loved cars and driving fast.He was the youngest of the four children, and his three older sisters remember him as full of contagious energy and a never-ending source of boy noises. He was the son worth waiting for, born on Father’s Day, and was a sweet and caring brother. He was fiercely loved by his family.As an adult, he trained to become a paramedic fire fighter, and his firehouse brothers say he was a good one. He sustained a leg injury while fighting a house fire in Sacramento, which left him incapacitated.Robert dearly loved each of his five children.His family is heartbroken by his death.
