Cristeta Gomez Alonzo, beloved wife, mother, and friend, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, in San Diego, California, at the age of 80.
Born on June 28, 1944, in the Philippines to parents Gaspar Gomez and Paulina Catapia, Cristeta spent her early years cultivating the resilience and love that would define her life. She married Leonardo T. Alonzo, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. The couple proudly called San Diego their home for 57 wonderful years.
Cristeta was a dedicated electronic assembler at General Dynamics, where she worked for 17 years. Her meticulous nature and hardworking spirit were hallmarks of her professional life, earning her the admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Cristeta is lovingly remembered by her three sons, Chris Alonzo, George Alonzo, and Andrew Alonzo along with their spouses Ruby Alonzo, Arlynn Alonzo and Mary Jean Alonzo. Her legacy continues through the lives she touched and the countless memories created.
Cristeta's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
