Dale A. Nesbitt Sr.'s Obituary
Dale Allen Nesbitt Sr. passed away on August 9th, 2018 at the age of 75 in National City, California. He was born on June 15th, 1943 in Savanna, Illinois and was the 4th of 7 children born to Earl and Lucille Nesbitt. He ran off at the age of 17 to join the military. Dale became a proud Retired Veteran who served his country 21 years in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. His last duty was the Leading Chief Petty Officer of the 32nd Street Commissary. Mr. Nesbitt earned the following medals during his service: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Action, Metitorius Unit, and Good Conduct. Dale also served in Civil Service afterwards. Dale was a lifetime member of the Sons & Daughters of Guam Club, serving as president from 1992-1993. Dale married his first wife, Bennette M. Santos in 1961 while stationed in Guam. Dale married his second wife, Maria Magdalena, on January 14th, 1995 in San Diego, California. He lived in San Diego County for about 55 years. His family says that Dale was a stubborn and loving Grandpa who loved watching sports on TV, and playing video games with his grandson.Dale is survived by his wife, Maria Nesbitt and her two daughters Melissa & Sorayda; his sons Dale Nesbitt Jr. and David Nesbitt (from his first marriage); his grandson Giancarlo; 4 siblings, Fred, Ronny, Vicki, and Karen; other extended family members.
