Daniel Richard Riveroll's Obituary
Daniel Richard Riveroll, beloved father, veteran, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024 at the age of 72. Born on December 16, 1951, in San Diego, California, Daniel lived a life of service, devotion, and love, touching countless lives through his generosity, talents, and commitment to family and faith.
A graduate of Crawford High School, Daniel went on to study Telecommunications at San Diego City College. He spent much of his professional career working for San Diego Gas and Electric/Sempra Energy, where he was a valued employee and colleague.
Daniel’s sense of duty extended beyond his professional life, as he proudly served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. His deep commitment to serving others was further reflected in his many years of volunteer work. Daniel was a gifted sound engineer, lending his skills to various productions and projects throughout San Diego County. He also had a passion for music, playing bass guitar for the Ramona High School show choir from 1993 to 2002, and was known affectionately as the honorary "Team Dad" for the Ramona High School Song team during the 1997-1998 season.
A man of faith, Daniel attended the First Mexican Baptist Church with his parents and then College Avenue Baptist Church as an adult, where he volunteered his time as a sound engineer and playing bass guitar in the Celebration praise band. For many years, his love of music and sharing the gospel brought comfort and inspiration to many. His deep love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
Daniel was predeceased by his father, Refugio Riveroll; his mother, Benita Riveroll (née DeSantiago); and his brother, Ronald Riveroll. He is survived by his three children: Aaron Riveroll, Vanessa Killingsworth (née Riveroll), and Daniel David Riveroll, all of San Diego, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and love.
