Darlene Love's Obituary
Darlene (Munda) Love- Born January 19, 1935 in Phoenix, AZ to Porter & Beatrice (Todd) Munda, entered into rest on May 10, 2023 in San Diego, CA. Darlene was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, friend, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother & great- grandmother. She graduated from Yuma HS in 1952, served as a Yuma High Criminals cheerleader and played on the girls jr varsity basketball team. She moved to San Diego as a young Navy wife and raised 5 children ( Melvin, Lynnae, Marcella, Danette & Lance). She worked primarily as a bookkeeper for over 50 yrs, most notably for KSON country radio, Lindsay Olive Growers & Downtown Visalia Business Assn. She loved to garden barefoot out in the sunshine “playing in the dirt “ as she called it, cloning clippings of her plants to give to others. She often tried to coax some of her 11 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren (plus several bonus grands & great grands) to help her pull weeds. She loved teaching them to play her favorite games Skip-Bo & Rummikub and thoroughly enjoyed attending church services, watching old westerns & law enforcement shows, crocheting & knitting. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
