I Love You Dearly Brother… Some of my happiest moments as a child was with my brother Leon. He was as loving then as we remember him now. Leon was always protective, yet still so kind-hearted. His smile, laughter and energy could fill the entire room with an unexplainable warmth. Dear Leon, When I was a child you wrote letters back and forth with me all the time, from all over the world while you served in the military. Lord knows I missed you so much, but I could always look forward to your letters, surprise gifts and best of all your visits back home when possible. This is my final letter to you. As you know a few of my very last words to you recently were “I love you dearly.” I had no idea that would be our last conversation or my last words to you but I truly do. I’ll never pretend to know why God called you home so soon but I find comfort knowing you’re with the Lord and you have no more pain or worries, just peace now. Heaven has a new angel. I truly believe you earned your wings by the life you led and the examples you set. My heart won’t let me say goodbye. I can’t and I just won’t but as always I’ll say “talk to you later”…until our souls meet again. “I Love you dearly big brother.” Love always and forever, your Sister Synthia
