David A. Palmer's Obituary
David Palmer was born on September 18th, 1940 in San Diego, California to David and Enid Palmer. He was the third child in the family, and he was always a gentle, kind and sensitive person. He attended San Diego High School and San Diego State University. Upon graduation he was busy in a career in food services management. He met Deanna Jones and married her in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 4th, 1963. David and Deanna were active believers in Christ and were members of Grace Community Church. Together they were active in various ministries. They lived many years in Ramona, California, but they also loved to travel around the states in their motorhome. David had a way of being generous with others, sharing stories and laughing a lot. His favorite song was “Unchained Melody”. He loved fishing, camping, singing with his great tenor voice, and decorating for Christmas. David adored his children and was a loving father to them, a wonderful grandfather to their kids, and even made it to great-grandfather status.David and his wife ended up spending 35 years together. Through David’s darkest times he would state that he always had Jesus. David went to be with the Lord on September 27th, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Palmer; his four living children, Pamala Jones, Michael Palmer, Rachel Barro, and Sara Palmer; six grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Eileen Bernadini and Claudia Beers. He will be greatly missed.The family will have a one-hour Viewing on Friday, October 7th, 2016, at 10:00am, and then they will have a Celebration of Life in the same location, starting at 11:00am. This will be in the Garden Chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary. The Committal Service at the grave will follow, and then a reception.
